Talking Drums aims to inspire people to travel Africa and beyond. Named after the African traditions of communication, or calling and responding, through drumming, Talking Drums aims to bring people together and empower them undertake their own adventures across Africa and beyond.
My passion for Africa, its development and my frequent travel throughout the continent, inspired me to start Talking Drums.
Through three main pillars – TRAVEL, CULTURE and LITERATURE – Talking Drums will showcase Africa and beyond, rich culture, exciting literature and arts, beautiful diversity, wonderful people, where to go, things to do, sights to see and experiences to share.
In addition, Talking Drums will encourage responsible tourism, respect for and an understanding of cultural differences, and increased contribution to local economies by getting off the beaten track!
