One of my favourite tournaments - the Africa Cup of Nations - kicked off this week and the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) shared a very popular 'Drip Check' post, showcasing some of the amazing and diverse African attire the AFCON teams were wearing as the arrived in Côte d’Ivoire.
We picked some of our favourites and had to share some of our own recent African attire, which also proved popular!
At Talking Drums, we love to showcase and amplify culture. African textiles are an art in themselves, handmade by artisans from techniques passed down from generations and generations. It’s our duty to protect the art, amplify it, support it, buy it, wear it!
