Overview of Ghana:

On the 6th March 1957, Ghana became the first sub-Saharan African country to gain independence, and with that ushering a wave of independence across the continent. From botanical gardens and wildlife, to entrepreneurship hubs of locally artisans, to natural resources and pan-African histories, each of Ghana's 16 regions provides a unique experience.

A day trip in Accra, the undisputed gateway to Ghana, provides a warm embrace - a voyage of discovery of history and various cultures, languages and food. It provides a unique and diverse, culturally immersive experiences.
 

Overview of the Travel Experience:

  • Pick up from Meeting point

  • First stop: Museum of National History

  • Second stop: Kwame Nkrumah National Park 

  • ​Third stop: Arts Centre and cultural drumming lessons

  • Fourth stop: Independence Square

  • ​Fifth stop: Late lunch (the cost of lunch is not included in the price)

  • ​Return to Meeting point

What is the Talking Drums Experiences in Ghana?
It is a tour of like-minded individuals, coming together to explore Africa and beyond! Talking Drums curates trips for small groups, and as much as possible, procures goods and services from local businesses, to contribute to the local economy. 
We aim to immerse ourselves in each experience, and empower you to undertake your own travel adventures responsibly, whilst having a positive impact across Africa and beyond. Solo travellers are warmly welcome.

With a Talking Drums Travel Adventure, you will be travelling with a purpose. With a focus on having a positive impact, we align our services to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, where possible, we source our goods and services from local businesses, and also donate a proceed of profits to initiatives that benefit the local communities to where we travel.
We also donate a portion of the proceeds of our travel adventures to a local community initiative in the country we visit.

We offer the Travel Experiences to maximise your December in Ghana experience, to enable a deeply immersive experience.
Anyone an join, and by the end of the trip, we hope you leave as a community and group of friends.

How did you develop the itinerary?
We believe in travelling with a purpose, in cultural immersions, getting off the beaten track and positive impacts.
Therefore each itinerary has been carefully curated based on over 10 years experience solo travelling across the continent, and multiple trips to the Travel Adventure destinations. We have sourced the best accommodation and experiences, enabling them to be the most diversified and competitively priced, and providing an affordable yet luxurious experience.
