Overview of Senegal:
Senegal is a true gateway to West Africa, located on Africa's western-most point. It borders Mauritania in the north, Mali to the East, Guinea and Guine-Bissau to the South, and surrounds the Gambia. The region today known as Senegal was long a part of the ancient Ghana and Djolof kingdoms. It is home to a number of tribes including Wolof (the largest), Fula, Serer and Jola.

Senegal provides a mixture of rich, unique nature including the famous Lake Retba (also known as Lac Rose or Pink Lake), the sandy dunes of Lompoul Desert, and the coastal waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Senegal also has a rich culture including music, drumming, food, surfing, wrestling and of course football, as the current Champions of Africa after winning the African Cup of Nations. This adventure also includes attending TWO games at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Sahara Conference!

Lastly, putting an end to jollof wars, Senegal (and neighbouring Gambia) is the home of jollof rice, said to have been shared across West Africa through trading relationships. Therefore the Senegambia region has the best jollof rice and unmissable when visiting.
